How does the Head N Wedge ™ work?
The Head N Wedge™ is a versatile stabilizing pillow and positioner designed for infants. Its distinctive design ensures infants are stabilized on their backs, promoting safer lounging. The headpiece supports the infant's head and neck, aiding in maintaining a round head shape from birth. An evenly distributed head insert helps to balance pressure on the back of the head. The ultra-soft headpiece combined with the low-set wedge piece secures and comforts the infant. By creating a snug, womb-like environment, the Head N Wedge™ minimizes movement from the startle reflex, particularly effective when the infant is swaddled.

Does the Head N Wedge ™ help prevent flat head syndrome and torticollis?
Yes, the Head N Wedge ™ has been shown to help prevent positional plagiocephaly if used from birth and if used consistently while the baby is lounging. The Head N Wedge ™ also helps stabilize the infant’s neck, which in turn helps prevent torticollis of the neck.

Does the Head N Wedge ™ treat flat head syndrome?
No, the Head N Wedge ™ does not treat existing flat head syndrome, but it can help the condition from worsening.
The Head N Wedge ™ does not treat congenital plagiocephaly, which is when the baby is born with flatness to the back of the head, but it can keep the condition from worsening.
The Head N Wedge ™ does not treat craniosynostosis, which is a birth defect in which the bones in an infant’s skull join together too early.
This can be common in twins or any multiples. The Head N Wedge ™ can help the flatness that sometimes results from early closure of the suture lines from getting worse.
Craniosynostosis sometimes can be treated with helmet therapy, but in severe cases requires surgery.
The Head N Wedge ™ is indicated to help infant maintain a round head shape from birth, and also helps positional plagiocephaly from getting worse.
It is important to start the infant in the product from birth, but it can still be started when the infant is a little older.
The wedge piece can be used until the infant is actively moving or rolling, which usually starts around 4 months up to 6 months, and then needs to be removed.
The removable headpiece can be used on its own as a pillow until the infant is 12 months of age.

If your little one falls asleep while in the device, simply lift them up and slide the product out from under them.
Then place infant on a firm flat surface such as a crib or bassinet with no loose items.
The Head N Wedge ™ was designed to provide your baby the perfect environment for lounging on their backs.

Can my preemie baby use the Head N Wedge ™?
Yes! As long as the infant is at least 5 lbs. The headpiece was intended for babies 5 lbs or bigger.
If the infant is too small, their heads will be too small for the opening of the head insert, and this will defeat the purpose of allowing growth to the back of the head.
The wedge piece was designed for preemie babies and standard newborns and can be adjusted as the baby grows until they are readily moving or rolling.
The headpiece can be used for 0-12 months.
